Sorting Observation Reflection - Milessa – 17th, November 2016 (Year, 3.1)
Select
My event was, I faced a problem in the beginning when I introduced the lesson where the students did not understand what I said. As result of that, the students were independent in Arabic teacher to explain for them what the English teacher side to them.
When my MST was observed me for the third time in (KG 2 – A) at “AL Awaeel Kindergarten.”
Outcome: K2MDD1: Sort objects according to common properties.
Describe
I chose this event because I had some problems while I was delivering the lesson that I notice students did not understand. Then I ask the Arabic teacher to explain for them in Arabic. Then I complete the lesson whit choosing a simple word, for example sorting like when we did clean up.. set up everything in their place. Students catch up more and more when applied the active engagement
for the lesson. (without hellping to explin in Arabic this time)we
Analyze
I think this problem happen because I was thinking how to teach them the lesson without explaining in Arabic. I used the body language and simple language to teach them the lesson. Therefore, I had little difficulties in the begging but I sow the result that makes me happy in the end.
Appraise
I learned from my event for next time not things is difficult as a KG teacher we should used different strategies to teach young children.
How: For example, simple language and body language to teach the lesson.
Why: To deliver the lesson in a short time.
Transform
In my next teaching, make sure to use different strategies to teach the lesson.
This is a math lesson "Sorting" which I taught at AL Awaeel Kindergarten for KG 2 students. The important thing that I learned from my mistake is how to manage misbehave students
