Literacy - Second Observation Reflection – Kesha. 1, November 2016, Khawla - H00236669
Select
My event is how to how to introduce the active engagement activites.
When my MCT were observe me for the second time in (KG 2 – A) at “AL Awaeel Kindergarten”
Outcome: KLPA3 - Listen to and identify phonemes in words .
Describe
I chose this event because I don’t have enough experience about how to introduce the active engagement. To be honest, my MST did not use any activities for opening, closing or centers; a just worksheet for art center by using A4 and color. In my opinion, the lesson was great and perfect. Students were full engaged and following my rules.
Analyze
I think this problem happen because I did some update for my lesson plan because in the morning the Arabic teacher told me she would go at 10 o’clock because the principal ask her to go to a meeting to another school. And my MST she will observe me. So I decided to change some things to be easier for students to do the activities. Therefore, I did not know the Arabic teacher explain the art center for my MST which was a 3D grape activity with egg cartoon.
Appraise
I learned from my event for next time I will observe my MST how she teach them or observe another teacher when my MST has a break time.
How: For example, do simple activities take a short time.
Why: To deliver the lesson in a short time.
Transform
In my next teaching, make sure to tell my MST I’m going to observe her when she will deliver the lesson to get good experience during teaching practice.
This is a Literacy lesson "Letter G/g" which I taught at AL Awaeel Kindergarten for KG 2 students. The important thing that I learned from my mistake is how to manage misbehave students
