This is the first task which is about Active Learning Environments I collect this information to support my future ideas 

 

Which activity engaged most students?  Why do you think this happened?

The most activity that children liked was the sea, and the animals living in it.  All the students participated and created a collage art activity.  And the teacher gave them more information about the animals in the sea and each child drew his or her favorite animals.

Active Learning Environments

 

What is an active learning environment?  What are its benefits?  How does it link to the inquiry cycle?

Active learning is an approach that is in which students are connected and engaged with the materials they study, and that is totally done through various skills including reading, writing, talking, listening, and reflecting. Besides, in this process, students create and depend on their learning. It means that they learn better through activities and doing ‘ Active learning is greatly valuable where it increases students motivation, engagement, performance  and creates collaborative learning as well (What is Active Learning?, 2017).

Coming to identifying what inquiry learning is, it shown it is a formulation of questions, and through them, there is an effort to find the possible solutions and its role is facilitating students learning and giving them experiences in solving problems,

What was the prior learning to this lesson?

What was the impact of the activity i.e. no. of ss engaged?

 

 

- Math - Pattern

Through using colors and created an easy example that was red, blue, red, blue and asked them what do you observe? How many red colors are repeated?

The teacher told them that they would learn about patterns and that means repeating over and over.

The teacher gave them blocks to make patterns and made red, yellow, red, yellow, red, yellow and blue and then asked them what comes after.

 

 

 

- Science - Plant

Children had prior experience when the teacher gave the students real life plant and asked them what is this?

Children answered in Arabic saying it is a flower. Then she told them that they would learn about the plant parts.

 Did she ask them how many parts in the plant?

They said two as they see the flower and the leaves.

The teacher showed them that the plant has four parts.

 

 

- Literacy

The teacher asked them a question where we cannot see the sun?

 The teacher gave the children time ti say where they cannot see the sun.

 Children thought till they said the sea.

Then asked them where can fish live?

 What is this environment called?

-The children engaged with the teacher after getting the blocks and they learned better when they use the thing.

What were safety issues taken into consideration?

 

- A poster was found on the floor to guide children to the right behavior.

 The teacher gave them instruction.

Were the students made aware of them? How?

 

- The children had awareness where they had more awareness about the use of dangerous things but other students who are not aware, she gave them too much care.

- Yes , concerning managing behavior how to deal with each other how to deal with each other.

- Nothing

- Is there signage in the classroom regarding safety?
