Our natural environment is the desert. What pops into your head when you hear the word ‘desert’?

Monday: Orange Group
Who lives in the desert environment (Bedouin people)?
Where do they live – habitats (Bedouin tents), why do they need a habitat/Bedouin tent?
What plants can you see in the desert, why is this their habitat, how do they survive?
Tuesday Green Group
Read through Rumble in the Jungle - Talk to the children about jungle animals in the book and where and how they live in their natural habitat. Look at each animal – what is its skin like? How does it move? What does it eat? What sound does it make?
Brainstorm all the jungle animals you can think of.

We are going into the jungle! We need to decide what we will take in our backpacks. Talk about planning an expedition through the jungle. Would it be hot or cold? What might we see? What do we need to take with us? Why?
